The European University Cyprus Nutrition and Dietetics program provides future Nutritionists / Dietitians with high-caliper basic education, professional skills and competencies so that they are sufficiently capable to support the improvement of human dietary habits and nutritional status. The program is developed in order to meet the qualitative requirements laid down by national (Cyprus, Greece) and international (EFAD - European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians, AND - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - USA, HCPC - Health and Care Professions Council - UK) professional and scientific bodies. It provides a comprehensive understanding on human biology and behavior of healthy and clinical populations as well as on issues related to the chemical composition, analysis and metabolism of food. Furthermore, the program includes specific topics on nutritional assessment and counseling practices and presents practical applications of food science and technology in the industry, the community, the clinical setting and the field of health and wellness in general.
