Frederick University is an energetic and vibrant private university operating in the Republic of Cyprus, a member state of the European Union. Frederick University was established after a decision by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus on 12th September 2007. Although the establishment of the University is relatively recent, the organisation has a long history of more than 50 years in higher education. Frederick University operates from two campuses, the main campus in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus and the other campus in Limassol, the second largest city.
The Program facilitates learning across baseline subjects of preschool education and includes child development and learning theory, as well as method courses in both pedagogy and curricular approaches. In addition, it provides courses that address knowledge of the pedagogy involved in teaching young children literacy, mathematics, health and social studies, science, intercultural education and the arts, and it facilitates learning across the content areas for diverse groups of children. The Program constitutes a balance between the academic and the practical directions. It prepares its graduates for direct employment as pre-primary school teachers and lays the foundation for graduate studies in the field of education.
There are no specific admission requirements for this Program. Candidates can be admitted to the Program only if they satisfy the general admission requirements of the University.
