Frederick University is an energetic and vibrant private university operating in the Republic of Cyprus, a member state of the European Union. Frederick University was established after a decision by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus on 12th September 2007. Although the establishment of the University is relatively recent, the organisation has a long history of more than 50 years in higher education. Frederick University operates from two campuses, the main campus in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus and the other campus in Limassol, the second largest city.
The program aims to produce skilled executives on Administration and Health Economics. Specifically, it covers a wide range of knowledge and skills that are now considered necessary by health professionals to address current problems of administration and finance, both in design and planning and management of health services. .The program provides expertise and technical skills and enhances the analysis of strategies, measures and actions aimed at developing the health sector within the broader context of social policy .The program has an interdisciplinary basis, focusing on Management and Health Economics (hospital administration, human resources, total quality management, financing and planning of health services, economic evaluation), but also negotiation and basic subjects in the fields of Public Health of Epidemiology, Sociology of Health and Sanitary Engineering
Admission to the program is divided into two stages:
1st Stage: Submission of CV .
An admissions committee evaluates the applications of candidates based on the information contained in the dossier of their CVs. The main criteria assessed are the level and relevance of previous studies with the objective of the program, service and general education course, and scientific or professional activity.
2nd Stage: Interview
Successful candidates of the first stage are interviewed by the coordinator of the program and rated on a scale of 0-20. In the interview the coordinator seeks to determine which candidates are able to respond effectively to the demands of the program, taking into account the motivation and interest but also the overall composition and scientific competence.
