The objectives of the Postgraduate Programme inCurriculum Studies and Comparative Education are thefollowing:1. Research in curriculum planning, curriculumdevelopment and curriculum evaluation, instructionalanalysis and evaluation.The professional development ofteachers, especially in relation to issues of curriculum andinstruction.2. Advance and develop curriculum and teaching theories,as well as the philosophical, sociological andepistemological principles and discourse related tocurriculum studies.3. Promote and develop collaboration with universitiesand research centres in Europe and internationally.4. Advance study, knowledge and research in the areas ofcurriculum development and evaluation, teaching andteacher development.5. Develop and empower leaders and researchers who willbe internationally recognised. Ensure that teachersunderstand the importance of the educational contextso that they can work creatively and efficiently in Cyprus,Europe and beyond.6. Provide research and services beneficial to the broadereducational community and society.In the context of the above objectives, students will begiven the freedom to develop their own programme ofstudies tailored to their particular needs and interests.
