Currently, the ECE Department offers several areas of concentration, in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, to M.Sc. students. As the Department grows in size, the number of areas of concentration is also expected to grow. The areas of concentration in Electrical Engineering include:Telecommunications Systems and NetworksSignal and Image Processing, Biomedical EngineeringIntegrated Circuit Design, NanotechnologyElectromagnetics, Microwaves, Antennas and OpticsDecision, Control and Automation SystemsPower and Renewable Energy Systems

Requirements. The Department requires the following for
admission:
• A completed application form, which can be found on
the Department’s website.
• A Curriculum Vitae indicating the student’s education,
academic and research experience, any publications,
awards, etc.
• A short statement (at most two pages) outlining the
reasons the candidate wishes to join the program, the
candidate’s professional and research experience, future
goals, etc.
• At least three letters of recommendation from academic
or professional advisors.
• Copies of representative publications, if any (no more
than three).
• Copies of all degrees and transcripts. If applicable, a
letter from the Registrar of the student’s current
university, verifying the expected graduation date (as
described above).
• Copies of any othersupporting material,such as exams,
honors, awards, etc.
Applications may be submitted in either Greek or English.
Evaluation Criteria
The criteria for the evaluation of the candidates are the
following:
• Academic background
• Research background
• Recommendation letters
• Additional qualifications
Familiarity with the English language is strongly
recommended.
