The Postgraduate program in School Counseling and Guidance is offered by the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus, in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The program leads to a Specialized Postgraduate Diploma (Master of Arts) in School Counseling and Guidance.PurposeThe program’s aim is to provide postgraduate training in school counseling and guidance thereby enabling the employment of educators who will be able to function as counselors (in line with the English definition of counselor) for students with regard to personal, family, education, and job-related issues which may be of concern to them.
Applications may be submitted by Psychology graduates or those who hold a degree from any of the Sciences of Education or those who hold a degree which allows them to be appointed in Secondary Education. All of the above degrees must have been obtained at an accredited or recognized University.
